Golden Dollar compared to Euro

    Does the Euro coins with the gold colors like the .10 .20 .50, 1 and 2 Euro tone as bad and as ugly as the Golden Dollars? Does anybody have a picture of a toned Euro?

    So do the New Zealand $1 & $2 coins,the Australian $1 & $2 coins,& the British 1 Pound coin.

    Yes, they do change their appearance. The "Nordic Gold" coins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_gold seem to stay neat a little longer, but of course that may change over the years. With the bi-met €1 and €2 pieces, the "golden" part starts looking less desirable after a shorter period of time than the 10/20/50 ct coins. Just my personal opinion, and not based on any kind of scientific research. :)

    The Sacagawea dollar "tones" a little differently than the Nordic Gold coins, I think. Probably due to the somewhat different alloy ...
