I need to sell off about $5000 in silver. I won't give it away at spot or below. My question is what is generic 90% going for? Last time I sold about 6 months ago on craigslist I got $100 for roll of mercury and $90 for roll of Roosevelts.

    roll Roosevelt dimes
    roll Mercury dimes
    roll Barber dimes

    roll Washington quarters

    roll 64 JFK
    roll Franklins
    roll Liberty halves
    roll Barber halves

assorted .999 1oz rounds (No ASE)

14 times face to 15 times face.
It is $70 to $75 a roll of dimes
It is $140 to $150 a roll of quarters and halves

.999 rounds are generally 50 cents to a dollar above spot depending on the companies specials

Why not just look at completed eBay auctions, or what the big players are selling them for?

    eBay Search HERE

Are you selling $5000 face value of silver or are you valuing your silver at $5000

Thanks for the replies. I did check ebay sales, but wasn't sure if that was the best way to get a value. I guess that's what I should use. I really expected silver rounds to go for more premium than fifty cents. I need $5000 so will be selling enough silver to generate that much money.

Keep in mind if you sell a roll of dimes for $75 on Ebay. They will take $9.68 of $75 and then take into account $3 shipping. You ended up selling that roll for $62.32 . Thats 12.6 times face. Ebay is not a good place to sell.

Same thing happens to me all the time while using TapaTalk. A very scary bug...

  14. you could possibly get up to 20x face for barber coins in G+, but depends on the condition of them

I've been seeing a lot of people selling $16-$17.5 per $1 face in halves. $14-$15 is probably the max you will get in selling them to a dealer.

I've been sitting on $9.4 face of quarters and dimes that I have not been able to sell thus far. Selling at a good price right now will be a bit tricky. You are best waiting until fall when the market jumps a bit.

I havent seen any silver actually sell at 16x face for a long time except for barbers . I was trying to sell my $23.70 face value in silver at 16x face for a long time and I decided im just going to hold onto it until silver gets back up .

Yeah, I won't pay over 14x right now unless it's some really nice junk.

I just want to say thanks guys. I decided to price it based on ebay buy-it-now deals and came up with $10k that I am going to sell. My prices are too high for here, so I will be selling on craigslist.

A preface is that 90% markets must vary significantly with locale, as I've had Fine to EFine rolls of Mercury dimes offered on eBid and craigslist at 18 times face - prepaid S/H for as long as I can remember, and my most recent sale was ~ 2 months ago.

I constantly test various venues by offering mixed packages at reduced pricing (e.g. Craigslist, eBid, etc.) to determine the market buyer interest. Previous sales of the aforementioned Mercury dimes were being purchased at 16.5 times face ($82.50/roll). Today I finally had a buyer at 18 x face for $50 Face 90% mixed with $10 Face Fine to AU 10 different dates Morgans and Peace, one 1921, $20 Face Fine to AU Mercury, and $20 Face Washington Fine to AU.

I hope that you realize your past pricing, but I'm sure you know that rolls of Mercury Dimes being sold on eBay are being offered and sold at less than 18 x Face.

I haven't examined Apmex recently because they block my comparison inquiries, but suspect their "circulated" Mercury rolls are available at 18 x Face or less.
