Hey Guys As some of ya'll know errors on ASE aren't common--the most you will find is maybe a strike through---but errors are pretty rare--at least for the ASE. Here is a "set" that I think was well worth every cent the buyer paid for it----I wish I could see it in hand. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mated-Pair-of-U...goryZ524QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem Speedy
That is pretty neat. These days probably some fool would send it back to the Mint because it would not grade a 70.
Did you see that they did send it back to the Mint to make sure that it was real....a good thing to do in such a case I guess but after what happened to the 1933 $20 Gold prices I sure wouldn't have. Speedy
Yes, I saw the letter from the Mint. I agree, I would want to do some inquiries before presenting it to the Mint after the 33 St Gaudens incident.
Those are nice error medal-coins,which look like they've been struck with a very worn reverse die.If you had those, you'd be a mug to send those back to the Mint.If you find any of those undated Sacagawea/State Quarter mules, hang onto them! Aidan.
