Here are two of my B-Day gifts:D Thanks to my wife who has great coin tastes!

    Augustus, AR Denarius, BC-17/16 BC
    Bare head of Augustus right
AVGVSTVS Capricorn right, holding globe attached to rudder, cornucopiae above its back. RIC I, 126 (R2)
I am liking the portrait, countermark and all! The Capricorn rx is even better in hand and I am loving it!

L Aemilius Lepidus Paullus AR Denarius. 62 BC. Veiled and diademed head of Concordia right, PAVLLVS LEPIDVS CONCORDIA around / L Aemilius Paullus standing to right of trophy, Perseus and his two sons captive on the left, PAVLVS in ex. Cr415/1, Syd 926.
IMHO the rainbow toning and beautiful design make this a Grade AAA+ present!:D
Along with eye appael this coin also has some cool history. L Aemilius Lepidus was the brother of triumvir Marcus Aemilius Lepidus.

Two fantastic coins. My gf refuses to buy me any sort of coin related thing for a present because she believes I will know how much she paid for it when she gets it.

She is weird like that. I just want a coin...

If we threw all of our wives into a pit, my wife and TJC's wife would manage to scramble-out!! ...

=> you should give here a big ol' birth-bay "smooch" (great coins)

SIDE-NOTE => throwing your wife into a pit is frowned upon in the CT world ...

    ... I'm just sayin'

Thanks for the replies! I am glad you are liking the coins! I am loving them both

I am 44 years old today:) And it sure as Hades beats the alternative:D My wife is a peach and indulges my coin obsession:) She has a few coins too. Here is her very first ancient coin acquisition:
