    I'm honestly not seeing the rainbow toning and with that gouge in the center I would say it wouldn't probably be worth more than melt.

    With silver at $19.93 per ounce this piece melts at around $1.44 so it would be worth right about that number.

    I'm not seeing any rainbow colors , and that gash . Scrap silver unless you find someone like me that might go a few bucks higher just to throw in my pile of silver coins .

    Because of it's low grade and damage it would only be worth melt but one I have noticed is that Barber's particularly tone like crazy Even in lower grade. I've seen quite a few dimes like this in dealers melt trays with that orange/black splotchy tone on them.

    Quite a few of these older, low grade coins "tone like crazy" because they were previously cleaned with sulfur containing compounds and the residual sulfur on the coin causes very dark toning with time.
