1916 Mercury-D Dime, Is It Real?

    I cannot tell if it is real? Someone told me it wasn't, but I don't know.

    Pictures taken straight on will get better responses.
    I know nothing about these, but I'll offer my opinion anyway. From the pictures you've posted, it looks like a cast fake to me.
    How much does it weigh? If real, it will weigh 2.5 grams.

    Shows the famous "grainy fields" of a bad fake, and the rim is a mess.

    Where did it come from?

    Your picture does make it look like it's cast. Can you tell what metal it's made out of?

    Not an expert on the series but it certainly looks fake to me.
