image.jpg image.jpg I cornered the asst mint director this morning as they refuse to sell the clad Kennedy's until 2pm so they can stroke the gold buyers. Told him I thought the line crap was ridiculous. He said their lawyers hate lottery drawings and the only other option was not debuting at shows. I said that would be great.

Asked about the silver set. He said they are soon to debut new ordering system that will eliminate the waiting room. He hopes to have that up and running soon.
Here are pics of the upcoming Kennedy silver set.

Still think the reverse proof looks hideous. The enhanced version looks good though.

Sounds good to me as well.

Actually in person the RP is gorgeous. They all look real nice except the regular silver which is just plain boring!

The reason they shut the clad line down was because one of the gold registers broke. You had 500 people trying to use one line... it was a smart move to open it up to the gold buyers. I do wish we could have bought clads as well though.

I couldn't agree more. That was my first thought looking at the pictures -- then I saw your comment...and made me chuckle a bit. Literally was my word-for-word (spoken out loud) first impression...

They should have been prepared for every contingency.

Oh, wait. It's the Feds. That explains it. And we don't have to worry about it now. The dealers and their paid minions just ruined it for the few collectors who might have decided to line up at 3pm today to buy one tomorrow.
