My opinion on the coins have drastically changed after reading this: http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/news/general/first-four-gold-kennedys-go-for-20000 Heh, I would do that in a heartbeat, improve my coin collection a lot, you know . Aidan
I don't like to buy into this kind of foolishness. There's nothing different or special about the first 4 coins distributed at the ANA convention. It's just hype.
It's about the $20k that a dealer paid for the first four people to stand in line and buy gold Kennedy's for him.
Ok here is a strange one on ebay on the Gold JFK coins I believe Ebay charges a commission on sales . How can this person sell it at this price or why would he ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Kenned...89?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27e8c3f689
Hmm -- a bit out of character compared to the seller's other items. Wonder if someone's "borrowing" the account?
What? The first 4 "sold"? What the hell kind of a provenance is that? Oh, that's right, I forgot, there's a lot of dumb folks out there just waiting to give away their hard earned money.
I remember when all five 2010 ATB 5oz quarters first came out a full set in 69's were selling for 10K now look. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-P-Amer...38?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4d21d28c76
Am I missing something? Doesn't eBay charge 10% and PayPal another few percent, so that this seller will actually have a loss on this sale?

Start a basic eBay store for $19.99/month and reduce eBay fees from 10% to 6%. Then qualify for top-seller discount and reduce by another 20%. PayPal has tiered fees too.
