Rassi's order is 5K higher than mine. 5K +/- orders in a half hour. Not Bad.

Can't go anywhere but the waiting room, signed in or not. I'd like to know if there's an ordering window on this.

Looks like the guys at the office had the same idea (I'm on paternity leave for the week.) I think we are going after 10 pieces total.

Hmm. My order # was actually 43707... so I got in before Rassi.

    Email receipt says "backordered 08/05/14."

You don't suppose they'd be putting single orders ahead of multiples...? That would be hobbyist-friendly, but a bit rude if they didn't explain it in advance...

I finally completed my order# 43710XXX at 12:48 ET. I ordered 2. Status says "backordered".

Okay, hit the "Track Order" link from the top of the page, and it took me right in.

Order Status: Your order request is on hold.

Item Status: backordered. Expected to ship on 08/05/14. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Talked to my guys on the floor of the ANA looks like the wholesale going rate is already $150 over... dealers are getting confirmed orders and selling them on the floor and then shipping them once delivered. It looks like the first 500 pieces are already bringing $3,100 on the floor in Chicago.

Another order completed at 12:48 PM EDT, and another 4371XXXX number. I ordered two as I usually do. One to keep; one to help pay for the one I keep. :D

BTW, I opened another browser at around 12:35 PM EDT or so on another computer as a backup. Wait time as of 1 PM EDT is/was 2 hours and 5 minutes. :wideyed:

I connected to the site at 11:45am and entered the Waiting Room at that time. When the site opened, my waiting time was 30 minutes. It briefly increased to 40 minutes, but then dropped back. It was finally my turn at about 12:40pm. I had the same issue with being asked to login after clicking on the "Add to cart" button and found that the item was not added to my cart. I had to go back and add it again.

Overall, this is a vast improvement from the old system of overloading the web site and total chaos on ordering days.

No its a good credit card with 0 balance . Maybe I will dig out the commerce bank card that is zero balance and try it. I am debt free with a very high fico score.

After logging back in my status says "Held". I've never seen a "Held" or "Suspended" status before.

Yep, it logs you off after 30 minutes . . . even if you spend that entire time in the waiting room. And anything you add to the cart before they tell you that, is auto-deleted. Need to add the item(s) back to the cart and then log in again at checkout.

And I agree the ordering process has been vastly improved. Waiting and seeing about the delivery process.

When my turn came up and I was entered into the site, I signed in before doing anything else. You have to sign in at some time before you can finalize your order.

The US Mint could not possibly care less about your FICO score.

Maybe you entered transposed numbers or wrong expiration date? Or your name or address on mint's site does not match the card exactly.

My order is listed as suspended also. It's the same credit card I use for my subscriptions. I think it's another one of those designations designed to create anxiety among the customers. Like "on hold". They really should explain these or use more understandable terms.
