I received a email from a dealer in another state I have never dealt with emailing me asking me to buy 5 2014 Gold Half-Dollars Kennedy coins tomorrow and offering me money for buying them up . I wonder how they got my email address ?
Well the only problem is we will be buying for my own collection and I do not think I need 5 of them. One or maybe Two will be enough  .

I see that a lot of dealers are going nuts over these things. Meanwhile I decided to avoid the kennedy hype completely. I wonder if any of the dealers here on CT are asking people to buy these coins for them.

P.S a Dealer can get your email if he buys another dealers email list. This dealer must have gotten your contact information from a list he bought from someone you have done business with.

I think I'd want $500 for each since ordering is going to be a freaking nightmare!

All of the coin dealers I have bought from online do not sell their customers' email addresses. To me it would not make any sense that a coin dealer would sell his client email list to another coin dealer as that could possibly result in lost sales. But, it could be possible he got your email address from a different source. Perhaps you gave your email address to get notices for a local coin show or something like that.

I thought there was a limit of one coin per customer, or did that refer to a 3-coin set or special packaging, prestige set, etc.?

It's 1 per customer at the ANA show (in person), but you can order a maximum of 5 via the Mint's website or by phone.
