Wow, now I'm nervous. At the very least it's a great tool and learning process

I learn more from the coins that flunk, than from the coins that pass.

I've glad you got accepted, but three out of eleven for success sounds like a problem might be brewing. Do you have images you might share?

Unfortunately the slabs will probably be in the mail tomorrow and we leave for Chicago in the morning so I won't see them until we return on the 9th. I was hoping they'd show up today along with my Kennedy clad sets from the mint, but no such luck. Why do you see a problem brewing? I just picked coins out of my collection that I thought might get a bean and sent them in.

Maybe he means that if only 3 passed, you may want to evaluate the results and see if you can spot better coins that will sticker in the future. Which is sort of the process. I don't expect my first batch to do incredibly well either. I am optimistic but until we send in we have no real way of validating our coins. It's the process of sending them and seeing the results that will help us pick better coins in the future.

That's true, but they don't charge you for what doesn't pass so it's not like you are out a bunch of money. Might as well send them all in in batches and get what you can stickered.

I had forgotten about the no charge policy for collectors when the coin fails the evaluation process. For dealers there is a charge either way. The reason I mentioned a possible problem is that with a 27% success rate there might be a systemic reason such as buying coin with certain problems or whatnot.
