.......wished that photos were made a mandatory requirement for any listing in the "For Sale" forum? Chris
I won't waste my time. Immediate gratification required. You've got's to tempt me with some tantalization. #3
I picked IDC only because most of my deals are bullion and it doesn't really matter for the most part. Now if you are selling a high dollar coin I would say no more then 4 picts.
I think everyone should use photos too. I wouldn't want to mandate it though. Easy enough, though, anyone who thinks that sellers should upload photos just can avoid the ones that don't upload photos.
I don't think they should be mandatory, but caveat emptor to anyone who buys without seeing the coin.
I have bought coins based on some pics posted in various website listings. But the coin recieved, was the same coin but did not look in hand like the pics. The pics were altered by lighting when the coin pic was taken or the pics were altered by computer photo software. So it is not fool-proof with a pic.
I voted "other". I'm not a fan of making it mandatory. I wouldn't try and sell a coin without a pic, but I think people shouldn't be coerced - their approach would not likely be rewarded since buyers will shun. Let the market dictate behavior.
I do. Just tell me where so I can figure how much the postage will be for you before you commit to buy. I will not ship to France or Italy too many problems with items getting to their destination.
I voted #4 even though I don't think it should be mandatory. If I click on a thread and there are no pictures I hit the back button.
Did you want to say "nobody in the US ships" etc.? Maybe so, dunno, but that would be fine with me - I'm in Europe, and there are lots of sellers in Europe to buy from. Ultimately it boils down to what one is comfortable with. Making images mandatory ... nah. Yes, photos certainly are a big plus, and I would usually not buy a coin unless I see it. However, if somebody who I know and trust sold, say, a newly issued €2 commem in its coincard, I would buy it without a picture. Christian
Noted. I`ll look into your WTS posts. I meant sellers on this forum. Asked around a few times, its either "sorry, no", or "yes, the fee is $<two random digits that make no sense here>".
