I found this coin for sale, and am very interested in it. It is a 1949 shilling specimen, and was part of Kings Norton mint collection. What is the difference between a proof and specimen? I know that is probably a silly question. Asking price is $380, which i think is a bit high for it. eastafricaf.JPG eastafricab.JPG

Specimen. Proof like characteristics but not quite a proof.
