Yesterday I rolled up 400 1976 bicey quarters and sold them to the bank. I have been saving them over the last year so I would have them on a rainy day. I wanted to get a DNA test to see what ethnicities I am so I gathered them up and deposited them. Somebody is going to be surprised when they open those rolls.
That doesn't technically release them into circulation... what if the next bank customer was a CRHer and picked up 10 rolls?
I agree , pretty much all banks will eventually use what rolls they have , unless they're dollar rolls .
For the brief period I was roll searching half dollars I would sort the coins by date and mint mark and re-roll them in the wrappers they came in sequentially before returning them to the bank. Many of the rolls were solid dates.
And you all are the reason I do not roll search. I think I always got rolls just like you all describe. I think I did it 2 or 3 times and always came up blank - I really believe several of the half rolls were solid date and mint mark.
I have done Ancestry already, but I think FamilyTreeDNA was better when I did it. The message boards on Ancestry say their DNA test is extremely generic results. https://www.familytreedna.com/upgra....1&utm_referrer=https://my.familytreedna.com/ I can't get past the 1832 Capped Bust Half Dollar ancestor in one branch of my tree.
Your link leads to a sign-in page for me. My sister is a real nut with this stuff, and you say it is extremely generic? You mean I'm not related to Charlemagne?
