Hello everyone, I picked up a bust half dollar yesterday and would appreciate some opinions on its grade and authenticity. The coin weighs 13 grams (scale does not give tenths place) and it has the appropriate edge lettering for the year. The coin has a purple iridescent toning (primarily on the reverse) when held at a certain angle.

I know having it in hand is key and that photos make a world of difference in lack of that option- so hopefully they are good enough.

I'll appreciate your opinions! Thanks so much :)

I would say VF, cleaned, and artificial reToned

Looks legit to this unstoried sod.......yet a few bourbons may have interfered with my judgement. :)

Not to worry. Others more worthy will stop on by soon.......

I don't see anything that makes me thing it's not authentic. However, it appears to have been harshly cleaned and the colors are highly questionable in my opinion.

I`m sorry, but when I saw that Liberty`s cheek, I just had to.

Looks authentic to me. Either VF-20 or 25. Artificial toning.

I'd give her a VF-35 , but would detail it for the color . Still a nice coin . At a quick glance I'd say O-102 because of the 3 Ts are defective at the base .

Genuine, VF, dipped and retoned. The dig in the cheek is distracting for me.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone! I paid $50 for it so I think I did alright.
(and also thanks for the lovely enhanced colorized version by taxidermist).
