green18: that New Rochelle is a luster bomb! Skyman, your Ca. has the kind of subtle tone that I prefer, and as you mentioned, very neat how the gold color "settled" in the miner's pan!

These were made by someone on the forums, years ago.
I forgot who it was. He did some great work.

Just a side note on this coin for our friends in Maine as I purchased this raw at a flea market across the street from Antiques USA Arundel Maine I use to live in the Lakes Region of NH and would go antiquing in Maine

Lots of great commemoratives here. Thanks everyone, for presenting them. This is my only commemorative dated 1892-1954. I picked it up earlier this year.

I'm glad you guys revived this old thread. Back in 2010, when this thread was first started, I was just beginning to get into Classic Commems and didn't have many. The Boston ANA that year was my first real foray into the collector niche. I continue to add things from time to time but have slowed a bit, of late. I picked these up in a capital holder from a coin dealer in Oneonta NY last October.

The Sesqui halves often have some nice rose color:

Just back from NGC and NCS. I think it should have went a shade higher but it is what it is. NCS did do a nice job though.

Very sweet. The State agencies bought up a bunch of these coins back in the day and had them counter stamped hoping to capitalize on higher re-sell. My freakin' Swiatek volume is stuck in 'upstate' so I can't comment more on the subject.
