A thread I started yesterday inspired this. Post your Anceint Bronze coins that depict a Greek God as the main focal point. Here's mine: Hieron II Sicily, Syracuse (5.98 grams. AE-19) 275-216 BC Obverse: Head of Poseidon left Reverse: Ornamental Trident between two dolphins

Hmmm? ... that's a pretty broad category, my coin-friend ... but okay Here is one of many numerous Athena examples ... "Thessaly" in this particular coin case ... Cheers THESSALY, Pharsalos. AR Hemidrachm Mid-late 5th century BC Diameter: 14 mm Weight: 2.88 grams Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right Reverse: Head and neck of horse right within incuse square => oh, I'm assuming that Goddesses were included (ummm, don't start a gender thingy)

I've seen one that looks something like this with Artemis on the obverse. Are the coins related at all? Either way that's a nice looking coin!
I like Greek gods and bronze too. Here are some of the Olypians. Zues Poseidon Artemis Athena Apollo Demeter Dionysos Ares Hermes I have Hera and Hephaistos now, but no photos yet.
Wow youve got quite the collection going! I REALLY like them especially the Zues, Apollo, Ares, and Hermes ones.
A lot of these that I see usually have a dot shaped indent in the middle of both sides. Do you know why that is?
