Hey All, Well I first noticed that the cent was off center, then the mouth looked unusual (looked open), then I noticed thickness on the letters of the obverse from the G in God through to the last T in Trust and thickness on the 6 in the date . I then flipped it to the reverse and more of the same, the O in the One being the best. The C in cent has thickness, but with two raised areas to the top left side of it and thinking Lincoln possibly has doubled knees; crazy right? I used the eye loupe first and took some shots with it. Maybe it is my pain medicine....but I was thinking doubled obv and rev. Thanks All! time to pass out
It is off struck misaligned, but a simple yes or no on doubled would be fine with me. As to calling me "Bub," maybe you meant to call me something else for back in the day calling someone Bub was generally derogatory or ready for fight. Like shove off Bub, get out of my way Bub, take a hike Bub, what's it to ya Bub, etc. Just don't want the youngsters here to get the wrong idea about calling somebody else your age Bub LOL though and thank you for your response
1996 Off struck/misaligned- DDO&DDR ??? 1996 Off struck no /misaligned- yes DDO no &DDR ??? no And, FYI: Ken was just kidding around.
Sorry green18 maybe I was just a little bit sensitive to Bub LOL not your fault.......pretty funny with all the things I have been called in the Army and as a Cop, bub got to me LOL! Sry due to abusive step dad. Thanks for the replies guys! Yes I am no expert on coins that is why I come here: What caused the extra thickness on some of the letters some being in the middle or on the bottom of the letters? MD as I was told the newer dbld is more to the middle of the letters? I keep looking at three other 1996 cents and this one looks way different/ mouth, letters and knees. For this year there is several listings with Lincoln's knees being dbld. Thanks again all and sry green18 I just had woken up.
Combination of MD and deteriorated dies ( The large C shows the deteriorated edges). I see no DDO or DDR
