    3.1/1grams not 2.5g..I am rookie .. If there is a site I can research more I will . Does the date and mint mark seem right to the weight..

    So you think this is a cent struck from a 1982 or earlier bronze planchet? It wouldn't be the first, but a high value item if authenticated. Be sure that the weight is on a calibrated balance and that there are no small circular depressions on the edge before buying the yacht.

    Can't really tell if the green stuff on the coin is exposed zinc or just gunk...maybe post it to Lincolncentforum.com, they may know what's up with it.
