It's certainly nice. However, it's an '81-S. There are a gazillion nicely toned '81-S's out there. Another one will come into your sights at some point in the future...
Yeah, I was shocked when he said MS myself. Only if this is a bad pic due to lighting or toning could I see MS, unless they are saying its a soft strike.
I don't think I've ever seen an 81-S that doesn't have a razor sharp strike, but maybe this one qualifies.
Sorry! Not trying to demean you......just the supposed grade. I can only assume that the OP confused it's grade with that of another coin. There is no way in Siberia that it should be a 64. Chris
Nope - I check their site regularly and I believe it was a 64. What I did not like was the splotching toning. What I also did not like was some of the small green flecks you see in the hair. I won't argue the grade, but based off the pictures I would agree it would be a little over-graded.
Here's the link to the coin. http://www.hjbltd.com/unitedstatesc...&pointofsale=FixedPrice&searchstr=&linenum=32
Geez! That doesn't say much for PCGS and CAC. I wouldn't have bought that coin with your money. Chris
