    Strange discoloration any ideas on these Presidential dollars I just found?

    I think it's just the natural toning of these coins... They tone ugly.

    Agree with Matt. These are coins that don't tone up beautifully in most circumstances.......

    Might have been in contact with some chemicals. Weak acid solution of some kind for example.

    If you want to have some fun apply about 5 drops of HCl and watch your coin melt away!
