1893s Barber Dime?

    1893m_31.JPG 1893s_31.JPG I got this in a lot. It is an 1893-S 10 cent correct? The mintmark was hard to see but it looked like it had one.

    As with the last one (IIRC), start by checking to see if the potential mintmark is of the correct size(s) (and/or shape) used on the particular date. While not an exact science on such low grade/poor condition coins, this can sometimes tell you (as with the last example) if you're barking up the wrong tree.

    In this case, and while it does not make a great difference either way, I would likely make the same assumption.

    I am going to have to go with there is definitely an "S" on this coin.

    That is one tired coin, still worth more than face value though.
