I just finished scanning some 2013 P&D nickels and while looking over the pictures I noticed that Jefferson's eyes look in different directions on each coin. On the P mint mark he appears to be looking left and on the D he is looking straight ahead. Could this be because of different die design from the different mints or what? Or am I seeing things?
Great, now I will be looking for eyes looking in different directions I am not sure about that because I haven't learned that one yet, hope I am about to. I think the year for the coin at each Mint is supposed to be the same.
Pictures so we can see what you are seeing? It would seem to me to be unlikely, but since they not create new models and master hubs for each mint each year there might be a possible difference between mints but I would think it to be unlikely. (of course they do use different designs for the San Francisco mint.)
