I imagine quite a few of us got invitations to PayPal Select this week. I looked over the offers, some of which actually were decent, but no better than what you can find at many places and I found exactly nothing I needed or wanted. But I do feel so privileged and special
I didn't get past the "is this phishing" triage stage (among other problems, the email didn't use my full name, as legitimate PayPal communications are supposed to). I made a mental note to go directly to PayPal's site and see what was up, but I haven't done it yet, and it may not happen soon.
It used my first name in the email subject line, but my whole name in the body of the email. It also used an https website, and the Paypal logo showed up on the address bar when I went to the website. I feel fine about it.
Ain't it special to be "select?" I am sure that it has something to do with credit and borrowing, if one has a Paypal/Ebay credit card. They love more debt.
I don't have either one of their credit cards, but have considered it if I can get some good rewards from either.
Got mine, joined, I dont see anything great about Paypal Select. BUT, if you are an Amex member, this deal is great at Amazon. Free $20. Who doesn't need $20 free on Amazon? Details Here or just google it. It worked for me and a bunch of others here. Best bet is to buy a $20 amazon electronic gift card, then spend the money as you see fit.
I got it, but I didn't see anything of value to me at all. Just a new home page in paypal, which I didn't like.
