What do you guys think of my coin design? I went for a contemporary style.

Or you could just take your favorite classic design, "modify" (AKA change the date) and call it your own. After all it seems to work for others... ;)

That would be really neat if it was a private mint 1 oz silver round. Its simple and straight to the point

I think it could use a bit more creativity. Then again one can not dictate what an artist can and can not create. Unless we were living in the soviet union of course.

Way too verbose - you need to replace "ONE DOLLAR" with "$1". :D

Hey, it looks as good as some of the stuff the Mint comes up with.

Why does this say USA, when it has the Texas lone star on it?

It certainly puts more food on the table than relying on your own artistic talents.

I am wondering what 6 stars is supposed to symbolize. on early coins 13 stars were to represent the original 13 colonies......

And what is with the two big lines?

The number of stars doesn't represent anything. I have 6 cause that's all that fit. Obviously, if this design was to be seriously considered, the number would have to symbolize something. Please just view my design as a very rough sketch. When I get an opportunity later I will make the stars smaller and place 13 of them for more accuracy. Please feel free to point out any flaws or areas of needed improvement. Thank you.

Style only. I think it looks contemporary. More than 2 lines clutters up the face of the coin, in my opinion. I personally like coins that have "open space" on the face.

The 2 lines could either be elevated or incuse. Which do you prefer?

Reminds me of a lot of the state quarters. Just a bunch of random stuff thrown haphazardly onto a coin.
