I would like to say hi to everyone in this forum and I have just brought a piece of the United states 1967 John F kennedy half dollar silver coin.It comes with the beautiful golden toning surface with shining luster on both sides. However, the coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition which was brought by me at those eldely dealers within the territory of my place in my country and I can search for so many difference coins with beautiful toning surface to be honest with you. The dealer shops are small as the storeroom in my house and their pieces are special and unusual to put up for sale right now.I would apprieiciate for you as usual. Please check the scans below and let me know what you think there.Thank you
Is that some “green growth” going on around the number 6 in the date? Also on the reverse at 9 O’clock just out side of the left eagle wing? If so, you might want to give the coin a bath in acetone to neutralize it. On your picture of the reverse, not sue if “camera shake” is distorting the picture or not, but I’m interested in the arrow tips, stars around the rim (especially under AMERICA). Are the points really split?
You are wrong about it and for the green growth you meant there are those black spots which can be seen appears on other silver coins and I have tried to remove it by other chemical cleaning but it justs could not remove those things. I have realised for what you means by the points of the stars around the surface right now to be honest with you after thinking over again and it was caused by the camera distortion for enlarging the pictures but not splited for sure there.
I have checked for so many similar pieces selling on other website but I cannot search any piece which has the beautiful golden toning surface like the piece which is showing on above and it must be extremely rare piece there.Thank you
