The surveys don’t seem to do much good. The mint has become more greedy, more interested in serving the speculators and flippers than the collectors, are putting their products in cheap, cheesy packaging, and overcharging for copper-nickel commemorative half dollars which could appeal to young collectors. In sum, the mint now acts like a government profit center in the worst ways. I am glad that I have lost interest in most of the mint’s products. Dealing with them has become less, not more pleasant. Pleasure is what this hobby is about, and dealing with the mint does not enhance that.
Anyone who feels left out can find the survey here. I found it neither "obscene" nor "intrusive". http://news.coinupdate.com/united-s...tors-to-participate-in-market-research-study/
Though I don’t have proof, other than the Mint being the same old Mint and it’s business as usual, I suspect that it matters not what the survey comes up with. It wouldn’t surprise me if they cherry picked what they want out of it and ignored the rest. Rick L.
