    Ummm, I'm not sure if this has been done, or if it's even a sound idea, but I kinda thought that a combined thread of modern and ancients might be a cool idea?

    As far as ancients go, I can never pick a favorite. They're all my favorites, and I've over-posted them anyway, so I'll hang back and watch.

    That is a good one but the intent was private issue coins made to fill a need for circulating coinage when the government was not able to meet the need.

    Rather the opposite. The quarter is a type 1 with bare breast while the Venus is showing more than the usual amount of backside. The first two are both nickel alloy coins.

    those are pretty, that is one of the united states coins that has made my list.
