I got an old coin, its about 5 cms by 5 cms, quite heavy. It has a bust with a feathered helmet and on the other side two horses facing each other but their faces seem like birds. the year reads 1616 or 1646. I have tried looking in the net but was not quite lucky. Please help me telling me the details and if any worth.

Without in-focus pictures, I don't think anyone is going to be able to help you unless they are already personally familiar with your coin. I not only can't read the legend on the reverse, I can't even tell for sure whether it is in Roman characters or some other type, which would furnish a lead to its origin.

That said, the overall appearance is not typical of a 17th Century coin, and looks more like a piece made for sale to tourists, perhaps somewhere within the boundries of the original Roman Empire.

It's an out of focus image of an early Greek tetradrachm issued in Bactrian region. The original coins from this ruler were issued around 171-135 BC.

The obverse has an image of helmeted bust of Greek ruler Eukratidis while the reverse is depicting discouri. The silver tetradrachm of this Indo-Greek ruler is rare and usually being sold in auctions.

The device on both side of this coin here is so bad that it is definitely a copy coin and manufactured to be sold in tourist shop as souvenirs.

It almost has a Kushan or Bactrian or some other Indo-Greek area look to it, however those would be centuries older than the 17th century. Like Roy said it might be a tourist token of some sort or??? Need clear pics where the coin can be read.
