I sent an email to NGC asking the same thing, but wondered if anyone here had any experience with getting sets put into custom holders like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131221428996 Any idea how much it costs? I suppose NGC will tell me eventually. In any case, given the esoteric nature of this slabbed set I couldn't help but conclude they will slab just about anything remotely related if you ask them. For instance, the 1887 GB gold 1/2, 1, 2, 5 Sovereign set perhaps? Or any of the other GB gold sets...,, Or how about the 1967 Greece set that included a pair of silver and a pair of gold coins? Seems to me this would be great multi-coin slab to flash around if it didn't cost too much to get it slabbed that way.
I believe NGC stopped the multi-coin slabs in the not so distant past, but perhaps something has changed.
Sorry to hear that. I had the 2009 Lincoln silver dollar in a big slab with the 4 proof cents included, all of them proof-69 that I picked-up at an estate sale for $45 a few years ago. Made out pretty sweet on the resale of it. Week later on eBay had turned it into a 3 bagger. I can see where NGC would consider it more trouble than it was worth though, especially if the coins all had different grades. Maybe if they limited it to matching coins, for instance, the 1887 GB Jubilee gold coins with all four of them in MS63 it would have made more sense.
