Ok, I didn't look, but I wonder if anyone lives there. Seems pretty isolated. These are interesting notes.
There is a small population there. I learned about it from a Jules Verne novel. Apparently it was a hub for whaling and penguin hunting.
I have that set. These are basically fantasy pieces sold by the Antarctic Overseas Office. The Kerguelen Islands have little permanent population, and as a French territory, presumably would use Euros for any transactions, if any significant commerce happened there. They are nicely designed notes. I have quite a few fantasy pieces in my collection that quite often are more imaginative than actual currency lol...
we mainly got them for the cats... we have 4 real cats. 1 grey and white tabby and 3 black cats. my girlfriend Jenny mostly collects for fun not profit.
