How the heck does the finalizer miss this one?

How ? Easy, because the finalizer never even sees the coin in a slab. Nor do any of the other graders.

The labels are printed, and the coins actually put in the slabs, by low level employees long after the coin has left the hands of the graders.

But that is a good one. I like it almost as much as this one I used to own -

Nice coin! They'd put it in a new slab for you because of the mistake, wouldn't they?

Wow. All this time, Honest Abe was the model for the Indian Head cent and we never knew it.

    "Honest Injun"? ;-)

(Not very politically correct. Oh well.)

North Carolina or Oklahoma? I'm asking because I think tribal members get a bigger share of the revenue from the casinos in OK.

I don't know about PCGS but I do know that a grader does see the encapsulated coin at NGC before it goes out the door.

    I'd gladly take a 1916 SLQ in a 1916 Barber 25c holder.

I have a 1914-D $2 1/2 Indian in a 1914 holder from pcgs. Not a super high grade coin, but I'm keeping it for the error
