1755 Mexico Ferdnd VI, 8 reales, Spanish Colonial Silver Coin. Just want to know if it is legit, and how much it's worth.

I have doubts about the coin. It looks too good to be true. I would have to have the weight in grams, the diameter measurement in east-west and top-bottom positions, type of edge and also specific gravity to make an educated guess from the photo. There are just too many high quality fakes coming in these days from China and Southeast Asia. But, if I were to guess based on the photo, I would say that it is bad.

    Sorry.

The pictures are not good, and this series is not my specialty, but just looking at the pictures my "spidey sense" is going off big time. Can't say why but it just doesn't look "right".

Took a look at a known genuine piece and I'm better than 98% convince the OP coin is a fake The detail in the globes and the land beneath the pillars is much too crude and faint. I don't care for the fonts either. Images are from Goldbergs sale #46 lot 1155
