Please help me identify

    Someone put it in a vise or some other kind of crimping tool.
    Not a mint error.

    Are you sure? When I bought it it was marked as "major collar break"> were they wrong?

    Yeah there is no way that was a mint error.

    Does the seller have a return policy? He certainly sold it to you with a fraudulent description.

    No I bought it from a coin shop about 2 years ago.

    You will notice that in the crushed area there are still traces of the design/lettering/rim etc. These features had to be created before whatever caused the crushing, so it has to be PMD.

    If a chunk of the collar had broken off and fallen away the design would still be normal, although possibly weak, and there would be a blank bulge outward from the rim.
