Update on HOF Baseball 1/2 Dollar coins Shipping dates, Returns and maybe never getting your order.

The mint says the shipping dates mean nothing because they're experiencing technical difficulties.

5 gold proofs shipped 4-24, will be here Monday 4-28.

The rest of my order is bo'd until 6-21.

There were quite a few HOF silver dollars with 70's grade at the CSNS today. There was a $175 spread in the dealers asking prices for the exact coins ($275-$450). The MS and PF coins, however; were both priced the same.

 

I just received two HOF proof dollars today! I know this thread is stale by now--but--I am just happy to have received them as I thought my order was nixed. I had received the 1/2 dollars in April. The dollars are nice coins and I am very happy with them. I haven't gotten any of the uncirculated's so perhaps those were the cancelled order....Does anyone have any unc. pending? I am thinking that all the HOF coins denominations must have been struck and sent some time ago.

I think this YC set was an afterthought when they discovered that they couldn't sell all of these half dollars. They had to come up with a gimmick to get rid of the rest.

HOF Young Collectors set release date (7/28) coincides with the 2014 HOF Induction Weekend in Cooperstown (7/25-7/28). Maybe the US Mint will have a few sets on hand.

 

You've had to wait your whole life for this coin. What's another few months?

 

My silver proof ordered on the 30th just got dinged on my credit card. The MS ordered same date has not been charged yet
