im a young collector and was wondering if professional grading companys charge money to grade your coins
PCGS and NGC are considered the top 2. Except with PCGS you need a membership or know a PCGS dealer. ANACS are considered good and I think you just need to pay for the grading and the shipping. Some other people here could tell you more than me. But here are the sites. Hope I helped. http://www.ngccoin.com/ http://pcgs.com/ http://www.anacs.com/
Sometimes with PCGS it will increase the value of the coin. Depends on the grade and coin. They are considered the strictest I think. NGC is nice, like I said, it depends on the coin.
Here are the fee schedules for the top TPGs... PCGS: http://www.pcgs.com/grading_list.chtml NGC: http://www.ngccoin.com/services/services.asp ANACS: http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/Services.aspx ICG: http://www.icgcoin.com/FeesandServices/tabid/504/Default.aspx There are dozens of threads on this site about the relative merits of each, and the issue of TPGs in general... so many, it almost deserves its own category. Coin grading is of the essence in this sport....
