Please help with ID. This one was sold to me as a Diocletian. I looked at the example on wildwinds and couple other places but I am not sure it is. I am terrible with Greek legends.

    Hi TJC ...

Ummm curious, are you going to knock a bit of the crud off this lil' beauty, or keep the crusty cookie coating?

I'm not 100% sure but first guess is Maximianus / Homonoia, year 3, Emmett 4141. Anyone have a better idea?

Ummm, it "almost" looks like my Tacitus example ... but maybe it's not a total winner-match?

I agree with Doug. Reading the obverse legend is a stretch but the best fit is with Maximianus: AKMAOVAMAΞIMIANOCCEB, Homonia reverse, Emmett 4141(3) R1.

Edited: I mistyped the legend; now corrected.

Sorry for my late reply. I have been so busy that posting has moved tnthe back burner a bit.
Thanks for the replies and attribution! It is appreciated.

Steve, I think I will leave it as is. I kinda like it as is and the the Maximianus attribution looks right to me.
