So I kicked it around for a while, and I decided to take the plunge. I always have enjoyed looking at classic silver commems, especially when they are in a nice circulated grade. I have decided to tackle the type set in VF. My first coin comes from a PCGS forum member. A 1921 Missouri 2*4. A solid VF with nice grey surfaces, and just the right amount of dirt. These are the seller pics. I also bought a raw Lincoln off of eBay last week. This coin is a circulated collector's dream. You just couldn't find a more perfect coin. I will update this thread as I add more.
I found several you might want to pickup, it seems that Classic Silver Commemoratives in nice VF will be hard to come by: 1893 PCGS VF25 CAC ISABELLA SILVER COMMEMORATIVE QUARTER ~ BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL 1921 Pilgrim Commemorative Half Dollar, NGC Certified VF-30 1924 Huguenot PCGS VF35 Commemorative Half Dollar ~ 50c 1935-S San Diego PCGS VF35 Commemorative Half Dollar ~ 50c 1952 Washington Carver PCGS VF20 Commemorative Half Dollar ~ 50c 1926-S Oregon PCGS VF35 Commemorative Half Dollar ~ 50c
Thanks for all the comments. Here is a new one. A gift from a circ commem collector on another forum. I love it.
The only circulated commem I have I believe is a sesquiscentennial, (sp?). I am not sure it would make vf though. I got it in a group lot, (where else lol).
This is a cool idea. This series looks great circulated. Looks to be reasonably priced as well. Be sure to post pics when you get them. TC
