Well, I rolled the cents I asked about last week that came from an opened 1962 D Mint Bag. I'm no grader, so I'm looking for more advise! The photo below shows the range of condition of the coins in the bag. Just from a quick visual as I rolled them I would guess the following percentages going from left to right: 10%, 40%, 40%, 5%, 5%.
I'm going to be going through each roll more carefully in the near future, but it looks like there are more than a couple that would be worth sending in to be graded at MS66RD or better.
Now for the newbie questions: Is $12 per coin the best bulk rate PCGS has? And is toning like in coins 4 and 5 a good, bad or neutral effect? Thanks for the help before and again!

In my opinion none of these will make 66RD.
That's what it will take to cover the cost of grading.

I would just spend 1962 lincoln cents. I would not work myself up on any lincoln memorial cent. When it is time to sell hi grade lincoln cents, dealers won't pay much for it

I think that you are right about this. Dealers will not pay for hi grade cents but they will be quick to charge for it. Best bet is find the best that you can and keep upgrading when you find the right one.

I keep putting the best coins I find into tubes and then weeding out the worst ones. Eventually you'll have a tube of outstanding coins that you can sell in a coin forum such as this.

I've put together a few tubes and will hopefully be selling them in a few years or will let my kids do the honors when they feel the time is right.

That first coin has "the look". If there are any nice clean ones you might have something.

Otherwise just look for clean and well made.
