I have been as most of you know going through lots of "stuff" that was simply just put away years ago. Here are a few more that I can not find anything on.

No. 1 looks exactly like Sri Lanka KM#139, a nickel-brass coin with a mintage of 19,584,000. The problem is that Krause lists 1975 as the only year the coin was minted! [IMG]

Based on the lack of a denomination, and the legends, I'm going to guess that No. 2 and No. 3 are aluminum Israeli tokens of the type often inserted in Mint Sets. Since we do have at least of couple of Israeli members, I'm sure we'll get authoritative attributions sooner or later.

Roy & Doug, the 'Commonwealth Republic' section in the back of the Ceylon chapter is wrong,as the Republic of Sri Lanka was declared in 1972.At the top of the coins of this series is the Crown of the Kings of Kandy (who were overthrown & deposed in 1815).Ceylon was actually a Dominion from 1948 until 1972.

I didn't even look in the Commonwealth Republic section - I just looked under Ceylon. You can see the word printed right on the coin.

Doug,I can guess that you looked in the left hand part of the scroll on the obverse to see the country's name.Am I right?
