I've gotten a couple of messages from regulars here about the "Please update your email" message and wanted to make sure that everyone knows what's going on with that. So, here's the gory details... CoinTalk has been around for a dozen years now. More than 40,000 people have signed up over those years. Naturally, some of those people have changed their email addresses during that time, and not all of them have updated their account in CoinTalk to reflect that. The problem that causes for CoinTalk is that when email updates get sent out to stale email addresses, they bounce and if we sent out too many emails that bounce we end up getting on a spam blacklist and that's how CoinTalk emails start being labeled as spam and not delivered to anyone. So, one of the many updates we've been doing recently was one that took all the reports of invalid emails sent to CoinTalk by the email service providers that everyone uses and set those accounts to a new status that asks you to update your email address. I have had a couple of people contact me saying that the email they're using is indeed valid. That's fine, and I can manually reset your status to reflect that if you let me know. What it means, though, is that your email provider told CoinTalk that your email was invalid, even though it is valid. I do not know why they did that. For anyone who's having trouble, please either send me a private message or an email (use ptdavis@gmail.com) and let me know and I'll help as soon as I can. Hope that helps!
