A collector will look up the bill and notice that it's not genuine. Looks like people with crazy impulses are buying these or novice collectors in their hoarding phase. Should be sold as fantasy piece with notes saying it's not a real note.

 

The sad thing is, this is the kind of thing that preys on new collectors. I wonder how many newbes to the hobby have been driven away because of things like this.

 

To be fair it is "real"; just altered.

Thank You for that education funkee! I collect coin and that interest has gotten me interested in notes. I am starting with the star notes (as many of us do) and I am getting more interested. I have so much to learn so I really appreciate it when folks take the time to show (and tell) how items can be altered/doctored and generally just share their expertise with others.
