Ikes or SBA/Sac dollars? There is a warning screen on Coinstar machines that says specifically not to put "Eisenhower dollars" in them (no mention of Morgan or peace dollars.)
6x 2000 Sacagewea P/D 2x 1999-D SBA 1x 1979-S SBA 1x 2007 George washington 2x 2008 Martin Van Bueren 1x 2010 Abraham Lincoln 1x 2012 Grover Cleaveland 1st term there is a bag on the inside where all the Ike dollars and large foreign coins end up and the bank always gives them to me for free. the small dollars, canadian coins, and some other various change get stuck in the machine somewhere and can be obtained by pressing and holding the red button for 10 seconds. i have only gotten one silver dollar from the reject bag, a 1900P, but i have gotten about 70-80 ikes in the past year and usually i find a few small $1 coins a week, unless someone beats me to them. also i have a plastic bag of foreign stuff, mostly pesos and pre-Euro junk, about $18 face Canadian, and €22-ish. the tellers save me the reject bag stuff because if they dont give it to customers they have to throw it away.
I found a 1860O half dime it looked like it had cleaned with an abrasive like sand paper. It was cool to find but damaged slightly.
$1.05 in CAD dimes, nickel & quarters at the grocery store Coinstar. Pretty good because they were all 99% nickels years, except for one dime.
not sure if this counts but i was at work a few days ago and this guy was cashing out his coinstar payout and i gave him the money for it then he says here i got an extra dime keep it, and it was a 1961-d roosie, thanking the coin and silver gods
I got a 1938 wheat penny from the reject slot. And a 1989 Canadian penny from the side of the machine. I was feeling rambunctious and I found 1 pence and a 1980 dime on top of the machine... Wonder who put them there
Today I found: 2006 Australian 10 cents A brass token, quarter size, with an eagle on both sides 1988 Canadian 5 cents A small brass Arabic coin On Wednesday or Thursday I found 3 coins from Bermuda. I can't remember what they were now lol
Yesterday I found a 1972 Canadian dime UNDERNEATH the machine. Always look under there because you never know what is there.
I also found a 1776-1976 quarter underneath a Coinstar machine. I've never found anything interesting on top, however.
got the reject bag yesterday: 17 $1 coins (nothing special) €2.77 in various denominations canadian nickel 2 arcade tokens plastic half dollar "school money" 3 ikes a few paperclips, washers, etc.
I got a 1940 wheat penny from the reject tube. Then I went shopping and got a 1955 wheat penny from my change. I was very happy yesterday
Yesterday I took some coins in to the local casino that has a surcharge-free coin counter. After dumping some random change from my change jar (yes, I "searched" it first), I dumped in two searched rolls of halves. Should have been $20, but came back $19.50! WTH? Talked to the people at the cage and they opened it and found one in the "garbage" cup. It had one side pretty rough and the machine decided it wasn't a coin. Didn't kick out to the reject bin...just kept it! When I told the woman that it wasn't the machine's right to decide what is good and what isn't, she just looked at me blankly. Really makes me wonder how much they skim by intentionally miscounting! Rob
39 cents, three dimes, a nickel and four cents. Nothing exciting, but the cents were left on the penny horse so kids will ride the horse for a penny.
A dime, a nickel, and 4 pennies outside the drive thru window at Wendy's. (Yes, my family was embarrassed)
