Are those scratches on the *coin* or the holder?

obverse: through the letters of "LIBERTY"
reverse: through the "earth" on the bottom of the coin?

Pictures aren't coming up well on the Heritage site but the line through LIBERTY looks like it could be either a die crack or a die scratch. I don't think it is a scratch on the coin. I can't see the mar on the reverse well enought to tell what it is.

They are contact marks from storage with other coins. That is why it is MS 64.

So do you guys agree with the MS64 designation?

Were it not for the contact marks on the obverse, it would have been a gem grade coin. It is really pretty.

Its hard finding a $20 gold coin without any contact marks. I've seen 66's with more than that one shows.
