Here we go :thumb: 1888 & 1907 was rather pleased to get these 2 had to stay up very late to bid on them LOL De Orc :kewl:
Those are nice. What sort of Rupees are you referring to - Cingalese? Indian? Mauritian? Pakistani? Seychellois? Aidan.
Aiden if you happen to click on the pics you will see that they are of the Indian variety also picked up some Australian 1/2d & 1d will try to get them scanned later today. De Orc
Nice additions, Steve. 1888 is a very good date and I have met some collectors who just collect world coins dated 1888. On this coin it looks like there is a raised 'B' mintmark for Bombay mint on top flower. Also, 1907 rupee looks like it was minted in Bombay mint. You should be able to see the incused 'B' mintmark in the crown. Regards, Ballabh Garg
Ballabh I realy must finish checking the mint marks LOL somtimes though get carried away on other things  De Orc :thumb:
Steve, when you get a Canadian 1907 1c. coin, please check the coin,as the 1907H is quite scarce? In fact that is the last year Heaton's Mint ever struck coins for Canada or any of the British colonies in the Americas. Aidan.
Steve, have you got any coins from Newfoundland & any of the other Canadian provinces whose photos you can post? I picked up a Nova Scotian 1864 1c. last Saturday.I discovered that I didn't have it,so I got it for a bargain price of NZ$3! I snapped it up faster that you could say the word 'Cent'. Aidan.
A few from Newfoundland :smile http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=21814 De Orc :kewl: Ps just got my 1st Rhodesian coin as well :smile
Steve,is the Rhodesian coin from the 1964 coinage, the 1968 3d.,or the decimal coinage (1970-77)? Some of them are becoming difficult to find now. Aidan.
Steve, the Rhodesian 1977 1/2c. is excessively rare,as there are 10 pieces known.I was lucky to get its big brother, the 1977 1c. a few years back. Rhodesian coins should be very popular in England, especially with the Anglo-Rhodesian community. Aidan.
Steve, while you are looking around for West African issues, this one would be a good addition if you don't already have it: Nigeria - British West Africa 1908 1/10 penny
Brad, the coins of Nigeria-British West Africa are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially the 1911 coinage. The 1906 1d. from Nigeria-British West Africa has always been listed as Rare & unpriced in Krause. Aidan.
Fairly sure that I dont have that one, so will keep a eye open for it thanks for adding the pic :thumb: De Orc :kewl:
Here we go Aidan just for you my 1st ever Rhodisian coin ( I have picked up a number for Zimbabwe but have no intrest in them) It is a 1970 1/2 cent. De Orc
