I couldn’t find any Unicode characters that look like this archaic Greek symbol/monogram. Does anyone at CT have something that I might copy & paste onto my coin label?
FWIW, I couldn’t find anything close to this archaic Greek symbol in Windows Character Map.

My surfing cow coin has this archaic Greek monogram 1/2 off the flan. (Mine shows only this "r" and not the complete "rY"). Here is a link so you can view the complete monogram on TIF's coin. http://www.cointalk.com/threads/cowabunga-surfs-up.235825/

I believe that is a YΠ monogram. Ligate letters are traditionally indicated by parentheses, so (YΠ).

Thank you muchly for the valuable reply.

So my first ligate character is a Y followed by a Π. As you have indicated, I should list this as (YΠ) on my coin label.

Now, my coin does not have the large "Y" after the ligate letter (YΠ). All the other cow coins have a large Y after the (YΠ). Is the large Y just off my flan or do you suppose my coin never included the large Y?

Perhaps you could provide a little further recommendation for labeling my coin as depicted in this cow coin thread: http://www.cointalk.com/threads/cowabunga-surfs-up.235825/

Perhaps "(YΠ)Y monogram with last Y off the flan"

    Thanks for your help.

Yours is off the flan. Missing (but known) letters are indicated by brackets. (YΠ)[Y]

    vlaha Respect. The. Hat.

It looks more like a square root symbol...or maybe I've been doing too much math recently...
