2007 will be concentrate on presidential coinage. 2008 might be the last series of statehood quarters and 2009 on lincoln cent. what a busy schedule?. and collectors have to spent a lot of money again. what is your opinion?.
Lincoln cent: It is about time. As for the others, they will increase collectors, and that can't be a bad thing, except that it will increase prices, and make it more expensive and harder to get nice coins. All series have increased in value, and new items are getting harder to find. So, good & bad.
for 2007 i will buy 5 proof sets 1 silver set 2 proof eagles 2 uncirulated eagles no commerative undecided about gold buffalo proof
Am looking at the proof mint sets, silver i hope in the presidential coins. Possibly the platinum anniversary set if i can get a good price for my blood . Think '06 will go down as a classic year of collecting
My Budget Plans It is my plan to buy:loud: the 4 piece set AGE in Uncirc and proof, 4 piece APE set uncirc and proof, all gold 1/2 oz commems, 2 prf and uncirc ASE, all mint and proof sets, and the BIG PLatinum Anniversary Set when it comes out ! No Buffalos for me..they have been a dud...if the fractions come out I will buy the 1/2 1/4 and 1/10th oz versions. RickeB
stop future buying. i might stop buying any coin in the future. because i bought so many during 2006. specially gold.
what's after the lincoln cent? i wonder if wheties will go up in value! shold we be hoarding all cents then?
In order for the cent to be worth anything three things must happen: 1) The order stating that it is illegal to melt cents has to be recinded, as happened with silver coins; 2) The price of copper (and/or zinc) has to rise to the point where is is economically feasible to melt & refine the copper. 3) Also, the world has to end. As for wheaties, well they are all already worth a small premium, even if it is only a cent.
presidential dollar the wheat cent i hate to collect cent and dollar. because it easily change the color.
mint set i still like the mint set to use plastic case. just like the proof set and silver proof set.
