A regular customer came into the store and GAVE me this specimen. It doesn't have a date. I understand how coins can be struck in the wrong place, but how did this one get warped into this shape? Is it worth more than 10 cents? Less than 10 cents?

Is that a silver planchet? And it is an off centered strike dime. Definitely worth more than 10 cents but not going to make you rich. Maybe $10-$20. With off centers, it's not necessarily the more of center the more value its more based off eye appeal and having a visible date helps the value. Hope that helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask theres a lot of pros here that can help you with anything!

It's not silver. I am guessing it is fairly new.

Over $20, I'd say. What's the visible edge look like? Clad or uniform-color silver?

This is an exceptional piece. I might see your $40-60 and raise you another $20-40.:D

If I had seen that one, I'd have definitely run it up further!

Still, if an off-center no date cent can be picked up for $5 from a local shop, I bet $10 for an off-center no date dime is fair.

I would say If you can get a penny more than $20 for that particular piece (And want to sell it), take it. It is certainly not worth $50.

It's not for sale. It was a gift, and I'll always keep it (unless I can get an obscene amount of money for it.) Incidentally, it was given to me in a cardboard holder so it has been taken care of at least for a while. I don't know where the guy got it.

No problemo. But you have to call a bluff once in a while...:D
