A few weeks ago I purchased these two Tetradrachms. I gave a total of $18 shipped for the pair. I have previously posted the Maximianus in order to get help with the attribution. I used the seller's images then, but these are my own. It always surprises me at the weight packed into these small flans.

BTW, the green you see is bits of green clay I use to prop my coins. It's not BD.

    maybe...but them's some good coins!

are those the one's you showed me last week? i don't think you told me you got them for such a nice price....that's fantastic.

last week i was not far from bing's house so i dropped in for a visit. it was very cool to actually get to sit down and talk with one of my online coin buddies and check out their coins. bing has a very nice collection and an impressive organizational system. he also has a sweet house, a killer pool; and good taste in sandwiches. i also got to meet mrs. bing, who is a very nice lady. thanks to bing for being a gracious host, i really enjoyed my visit.

    here's a pic!

Nice coins, and good for you guys having a mini coin club meeting! Wish I could have dropped by but it's a bit of a commute.

Very cool .... I wish I was there with you guys (I could mix you drinks and help make you sandwiches) ...

Anyway => my dream play-date is to hang with Doug, Martin and TIF ...

=> ummm well ... basically, I would love to sit and howl with TIF, while we both watched Doug and Martin compare their Sep-Sev coins!! (everybody has a dream, right?)

Oh, but seriously => that's a very cool photo of two of my very favourite CT coin-friends!! (you guys both "rock"!!)

.... totally jealous (I met a bear in the driveway this past winter ... that is my brush with new friends)

    Yep. Tampa.

It was great having Chris at my home. This is the first time anyone has visited with even remote interested in my coins. I had a great afternoon and I'm glad Chris did as well. Chris you are welcome at my home anytime you're in the area.

    Now to you steve.
Chris and I are not in your dream date? How depressing.:(

Very cool. Not often you hear CT posters meet eachother, unless its at a local show of some sort. Sucks nearly all ancient collectors seem to live on the east coast. Randy is in Arizona but thats not a rocks throw from l.a. :/

And we all wanna see Doug & Martins collection!

What? I expected to see a cartoon character and Mark Anthony. If I find out that AncientJoe doesn't really look like Antoninus Pius and that John Anthony is not a... crackhead, my world will be shaken. :D
