1959d.... what do I see?

    59.jpg 59d.jpg I thought it looked like minor doubling, then I thought it's just very reflective and I was seeing shadows. The B in liberty looks good and the second nine in the date. Its in great condition. The MM is doubled too so MD?

    it could be md on lettering and a repunched mintmark. i just cannot see the d well enough to tell

    It looks like the light is making an optical illusion.

    I know it's crazy. The finish on the coin is in mint like condition and is sooo bright. I put a homemade filter on my $40 microscope. It seems like most of it is an optical illusion. The MM is not doubled. There is something going on at the left side of the 5, and the first 9. There is some thickening in "trust". It doesn't match anything though.

    I don't see anything...... but keep looking sooner or later you will find a winner.

    Like others have said, I too don't really see anything. Maybe there is something but I don't see it. The good news is there are billions of other coins to search,

    I am getting better at the photo's. Just not getting better at seeing.
